When Kemp and Kemp Catering began the website www.independent-weddings.co.uk they had little idea the site would start to be used by brides to actually choose their wedding venue. But couples who are already convinced they want the catering company’s unique brand of bespoke, designer catering are now trawling the new website site to find venues who’ll allow K&K to do the catering. “Its beyond my wildest dreams” said Richard Kemp whose idea the site was.

A new wedding service provider was added to www.independent-weddings.co.uk today. The Stafford-based ‘Dove Emporium’ joined the site after seeing an article in the Sentinel newspaper. This brings to nearly 30 the number of wedding venues and related services on this growing site.

The little-known Rous Lench Court, Nr Evesham is set to become one of the Midland’s best wedding venues. With an amazing 16th Century complex of buildings, 19th century sweeping lawns, terraces, fountains, statues and miles of open parkland, the site is quite stunning. Owner Sam Thorp is now planning to cut a path across the open fields so bridal parties wishing to get married in Rous Lench’s very special Norman Church can do so. Then, in the footsteps of the Rous Lenches of former centuries they can stroll through the manorial gate back to the Hall for their marquee reception. Magical.

The unique doubled moated medieval manor house, Littywood Manor is the latest addition to the website site www.independent-weddings.co.uk . The wonderfully tranqul site is set in tiny narrow lanes, but is only 4 miles from Stafford. Kemp and Kemp Catering are very much hoping to be delivering their own brand of homemade, bespoke and totally wonderful wedding and event catering at the venue very soon indeed.

www.independent-weddings.co.uk welcomes ‘creative cakes’ by Wendy L’Estrange. Wendy’s cakes are made with eggs from her own hens. She also soaks her dried fruit for 3 days in French brandy and all the chocolate she uses in her cakes is from Belguim. Go to www.independent-weddings.co.uk to pick up Wendy’s details.

The wedding venues who have seen it for the first time and commented, have all been very kind. We even sent out our first notification today to a bride-to-be who is thinking about using Kemp and Kemp Catering, but doesn’t yet have a wedding venue - am I excited by this?!!

Hi - we’re all very excited by the idea of this new website at www-independent-weddings.co.uk. It fills a very precise niche, appealing to certain people. Of course, not everyone wants total control over every aspect of their wedding - but if you do (and we did at our wedding held at Bishton Hall, Staffs) this site helps you massively.
